Verrado House of Screams Review

Gabby Comer, Editor-in-Chief

Everyone was into the Halloween Spirit, the nightVerrado Theatre Club and STUGO collaborated to make the Verrado House of Screams. The haunted house was not just your mom’s little blow-up haunted house. It was a real haunted house! It went all through the E wing. It was 13 dollars at the door, and they would send in about 6 people at a time.

When you first enter the haunted house, zombies come out and yell at you. We had to wait about 5 minutes to enter the haunted house, so the anticipation was building up. The zombies would come up behind you, and escort you to the next area. Next, there was a hospital, where a doctor was screaming at you and coming up behind asking you all these things. There were a lot of jump scares, and if I am being honest most of it was a blur.

One of the scariest parts for me was the maze. People were banging on the sides, and people would jump out at you at random times. In the Black Box, they summoned Bloody Mary, and it was cool to see the special effects. The last part was a graveyard scene, and they did a really good job hiding the bodies.

Overall, I had a good time, and I did get scared. Most of all, I enjoyed getting to see my friends act and going to support them.
