Journey Tucker was born and raised in a cultured and close-knit family in 2005. Her family’s lessons of self-dependency and hard work taught her to be a well-rounded person who has the efficient knowledge of independency and diligence. Growing up in an athletic family, Journey soon jumped into sports and has been engraved in athletics since kindergarten. From soccer to competitive cheer, she has never gone a year without playing a sport. Journey has grown and progressed as a person due to the strong female mentors she has in her family. Her mom, Candice (Candi for short), and her oldest sister Shanelle have educated her and molded her into the person she is today and has been by her side through thick and thin.
Although athletics is a big part of her life, Journey also prides herself on making academics a big part of her life too. Journey aspires to go to college and play volleyball at a collegiate level. As of right now, she is undecided about her major but would like to pursue a major that is in the STEM field or medical, the field in which her mom and sister pursued as well. She is majorly interested in studying neuroscience, engineering, or anesthesiology. While she enjoys science, Journey also has a big interest in writing. When given a prompt, Journey enjoys illustrating her point.
