Jojo Siwa Did Not Comeback Like a Boomerang

Jojo Siwa’s new era takes people by storm and drama stirs up!

Jojo Siwa, Dance Moms star and popular singer of the 2010s is trying to rebrand. The public has different opinions on the matter. She’s no longer a “kid in a candy store” and is instead going for more of a mature vibe. When singers age, they usually mature with their audience. However, people say her transition is more or less a rocky ride so far.

Her branding has now shifted to colors of black and white than her old pops of color she had. She had already left bows behind a while ago but has recently shifted to rhinestones with many of her newer outfits. She is also doing bolder makeup. To give a gist, it is more glam and dark, as well as feminine. Jojo probably thought it was better with glitter on it.

She is trying to be way different than what she previously was attitude-wise. Cussing a lot more, being more sexual, and just out of pocket. With her new song “Karma”, these were outright in the center, with profanity, some inappropriate gestures, and an overall message in the music video. People aren’t very positive about this saying it’s cringy and makes no sense.

Jojo’s path in her career is following a very similar path to another star, Dove Cameron. Both previous child stars transitioned to a more mature era in their career. Both also are openly a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. But Dove didn’t get as much hate as Jojo with her rebranding. However, there’s a certain difference between the two girls, especially concerning the number of controversies in their careers.

Now Dove is the one with the lowest amount of problems. The biggest “issue” was her coming out in 2020, this however happened with Jojo too with both getting backlash from the public with support being there to outweigh the negative with both girls. On the other hand, Jojo was a bad girl and did some bad things that have made multiple headlines, putting herself and her brand in a bad light.

Her first big one was with her products, such as her board game “Jojo Juice”, released in 2018. It received a lot of backlash, with questions on cards being inappropriate for the target demographic.

She also had a makeup kit recalled in 2019. This was due to being positive for asbestos, a harmful fiber to humans if in contact with the body. It causes cancer and other diseases in humans. However, the internet pointed out this was more likely her team’s fault than her own, not being involved in the making process of these items.

Another was the accusations of blackface in one of her videos. Her song “Nonstop” displayed Jojo as the ringmaster and her backup dancers as performances one would see at a carnival. One was a monkey, which made people upset due to it looking more like blackface than a monkey. Jojo responded by stating that it’s supposed to be a monkey and she doesn’t know what to say about it, causing the public to become even more upset with her.

In addition, recently her collaborations have been putting her in hot water. She is still associated with YouTube stars that are infamous, such as James Charles and Shane Dawson. Both are under press, with James Charles grooming underage boys and Shane Dawson being inappropriate with his cat.

The final nail in the coffin is her defending her friend Colleen Ballinger on multiple podcasts. This is insane to the public eye due to the evidence supposedly stacked against Colleen and the accusations of her inappropriately engaging with underage fans. Nonetheless, Jojo has made it clear she is on Colleen’s side.

Now this all relates to her most recent branding to the speculation the people on the internet have with Jojo. Her rebrands and big news announcements are calculated, with theories such as her coming out covered for her product and blackface scandals. The current rebrand covers all the discourse of her interactions with infamous YouTubers. This is all speculation as none of this is proven with facts. However, it is interesting how this all lines up.

Overall, the internet collectively agrees she should’ve stayed quiet and rode out her fame. With all the hot water she has been in, she should’ve known better. Unfortunately, people don’t like Jojo anymore, with her entertaining Gen Z and inspiring people with her coming out, promoting people to be themselves.

Jojo Siwa could not hold the drama and now people believe she is flopping. Bet she wished she would have never effed around. Jojo, when will you learn!
