Whether it be a new single being dropped, or the announcement of a whole entire album,
Music fans are always anticipating their favorite artists releasing new music. 2025 has been quite the busy year for not just known artists, but also those with rising popularity.

August is packed with numerous musicians dropping new albums. After months of teasing fans with singles and countdowns, three artists who have become extremely popular with Gen-z have officially announced the release dates of their new music.

Sabrina Carpenter, one of the most popular musicians among young people, has already announced her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, which is set to be released August 29, 2025.

Fans were shocked to find out she had already finished and recorded a brand new album, almost exactly a year after she released her sixth album. Short & Sweet was an immediate hit, launching Sabrina Carpenter into the spotlight.

Man’s Best Friend was hinted at with the release of her single “ManChild” on June 5th of this year. Fans loved the pop and country fusion of the song, with the instrumentals sounding inspired by popular 80s disco music.

The album is set to have 12 songs, with some titles including “Nobody’s Son”, “Don’t Worry I’ll Make You Worry”, and “My Man on Willpower”. Perfectly matching the vibe she set in ManChild’s music video, and the frustration shown in her past works.

Fans appreciate Sabrina’s passion for music and performing, with new content and teasers constantly being uploaded to her social media accounts.

In the realm of pop music, another musician has had quite the active streak when it comes to new releases. Conan Gray, an artist known for his mixture of lovesick ballads and 80’s 80s-inspired pop music, announced his new album, Wishbone, set to release on August 15th.

He began hinting at a new album with his single release titled “This Song,” released to the public on May 30, 2025. Fans loved the new approach he took to his songwriting and music video directing.

Wishbone is set to follow the story of two best friends and their multi-year-long confusing romantic relationship, played by Conan and actor Corey Fogelmanis. “This Song” shows the beginning of their relationship.

Shortly after the release of “This Song”, Conan followed this up with “Vodka Cranberry” on July 11th. This music video took a more sad turn, showing their relationship going downhill due to insecurity and miscommunication. The upbeat melody and lyrics of “This Song” were swapped out for a song showing nothing but frustration and heartbreak.

Fans are especially impressed with Conan’s new approach to music video directing, making it have a coming-of-age movie feeling. The music videos perfectly match up with the strong emotion in his singing and songwriting, with the quality being very high and sincere for a music video.

This album will also have a total of 12 tracks with some titles including “My World”, “Sunset Tower”, and “Class Clown”.

Taking a step away from the pop genre is an emotion packed jazz album many are looking forward to. Laufey announced that she would be releasing her third album, A Matter of Time, on August 22nd of this year.

Laufey’s rise in popularity was fast, with gen-z falling in love with her music and personality through popular social media apps such as TikTok and Instagram.

Her approach to jazz and bossa nova has made her music popular amongst multiple groups of people.

To attract attention to her upcoming album, she released a total of three singles that will be included on the track list. Fans suspected a new album was in the works after the release of “Silver Lining”, on April 3, 2025.

Silver Lining provided fans with an upbeat song, with classic Laufey style belts, and instrumentals. This took a turn, though, with her second single “Tough Luck”, released May 15th, switching the mood to fit more with her past heavy songs.

Some fans were a bit skeptical of the sound of “Tough Luck”, with the pacing being a lot faster than the slow jazz ballads Laufey usually released. Despite all of this, fans were still extremely excited for what other things were in the works.

She wrapped up her single releases with “Lover Girl” on June 25th. Lover Girl fit the vibe of her first studio album, “Everything I Know About Love”, with the singing style and beat being much more classic Laufey.

A Matter of Time is going to have 14 songs to it, with some track names including “A Cautionary Tale”, “Snow White”, and “Clockwork”

A tour for the album was announced, with more dates set to be added. Laufey fans are ecstatic and enjoying Laufey’s new sound and performances.

Keep your eyes peeled for these new releases!
