Verrado High School’s Student Government (StuGo) recently officially announced the elected representatives for the 2025-26 school year. Among the newly elected leaders is sophomore Paige Brown, who will serve as the next student body vice president.
Brown, currently a sophomore at Verrado, has been involved with StuGo since her freshman year and is excited to step into a larger leadership role.
“My plan as vice president is to continue to improve our Student Government,” Brown said. “One of the biggest changes I want to make is getting more input from our student body and implementing that into our different events, like dances, assemblies, and more.”
Brown said her motivation to run for vice president stemmed from her desire to make a meaningful impact on campus.
“I wanted to be a part of something bigger here at Verrado — to do what I can to impact this school positively,” she said. “Over the past months, I realized I wanted to go even further with that leadership and hopefully make a bigger impact and lead.”
Her primary goal for the upcoming school year is to increase student involvement across all areas of campus life. Brown hopes to boost attendance at school events and encourage greater participation in spirit days and other community-building activities.
“I want students to be excited to come to school, to feel proud of being here, and to enjoy the events we plan,” she said.
As the new student council prepares to take the reins, Brown and her fellow elected members are focused on making the 2025-26 school year a fresh start — full of opportunities, spirit, and school pride.
So next time you see a member of the new student council, be sure to give them a pat on the back. With new leadership and big goals ahead, the future of Verrado’s student life looks bright.
