Others say that the music in the album does not identify her well as an artist. Some are even going as far as calling the album boring as a whole and calling the tracks too basic. However, many fans defend the album pointing out the time for improvement Sabrina still has in her career. Some fans also defend this album by calling it the best case scenario for mainstream pop music.

As for the Billboard charts, ‘Short and Sweet’ has found major success. As of September 14th, the album has earned 156,000 album units in the U.S. The album is now in its second frame after opening at number one a week ago.
