Nae contemplates the paths she might follow in the future.

J’Nay Coopwood, Staff Writer

J’Nay C’Mone Coopwood was born October 18, 2005, at the Mesa General Hospital at 1:17 in the afternoon. J’Nay goes by Nae because it is easier for people to pronounce and spell. She was not born in the healthiest situation. As a result of her family’s ways, she grew up not having a voice. Once she had one, she got into writing and journaling to express her feelings and let out her thoughts and the different emotions she was feeling.

Nae plays volleyball and wants to get into other sports like basketball, softball, swimming, and diving. She ran track for the club Do Right for three years and hated almost every second of a 400-meter dash and 800-meter run. Her favorite and best event is the 200-meter dash. The 200-meter dash is her favorite because she loves to run the curve. It is short, quick, and not too easy.

Nae has three main career paths to go down. One, Go to the job corps and study to be a nurse and eventually travel up the food chain and become a travel nurse; Two, Go pros in volleyball and beach volleyball. Three, play and train in basketball and make it into a WNBA team. Nae’s final goal is to become highly comfortable financially and create a pet family. She might also adopt a kid or two, siblings, or just become the cool rich auntie her niece and nephews already think she is. Live in a big house in Georgia and be able to travel all over the world.
