Jumpstart Your Thursday Mornings with FCA!
School’s been in for a month, and clubs and sports are overflowing with students who want to be involved! One awesome group you don’t want to miss is FCA—Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Their first meeting was Thursday August 28th, and the room was so overflowing that students had to take chairs from other classrooms and bring them into the hallway.
FCA is a fun, touching gathering every Thursday morning where students who love Jesus come together to enjoy donuts, hang out, and hear a short devotional. Whether it’s an FCA leader, a friendly teacher, or a guest speaker leading the group, it’s always a great time to learn, chat, and pray together.
And here’s the best part—FCA welcomes everyone! Whether you’re an athlete, a Christian, or just curious to meet some kind, encouraging people, FCA is the perfect place to connect and grow.
Each week, we will focus on encouraging, or faith building topics. The first meeting, the president, Casey McCorry shared how Jesus saved her life, and how even though we live in a broken world, we belong to Jeus, who died for us and set us free.
Every week, FCA will be giving a devotional to encourage students to share or build their faith and impact the lives around them.
Avie Groseth, a sophomore who has been involved in FCA since her freshman year says, “FCA is the best way to kick off my morning—it’s a fun, supportive place where we all help each other grow in faith and invite God into our day.”
And Nalanie Pappoe, an FCA leader shares, “Thursdays became my favorite day because I knew I had FCA—where I could laugh, talk about God, and hang out with friends. I always looked forward to it!”
Jacob Ceron, who has been attending FCA, says, “I really encourage people to sign up and come to a meeting, it doesn’t have to be a formal sign up but God has been so impactful in my life, and I would love for others to experience that.”
If you’re searching for a warm, welcoming community where you can worship, pray, and get closer to God, FCA is waiting for you with open arms.
Come join the fun—FCA meets every Thursday at 6:45 AM! Don’t miss out!
