Dear Verrado, I am beyond glad to say that I continued my 4 years of education at Verrado High School. The subjects i’ve learned and the memories i’ve made are ever-lasting, as I will never forget about my attendance at Verrado Highschool.
Freshman year was a change of scenery, different from the previous 8 years of school I had attended. I was stuck at home all day with nothing to do but wake up and go on to google meets for class. It was stressful and i felt like it was all pointless i didnt know what i was doing. I could not focus I was always on my phone while we were in the meet learning, despite that i managed to get A’s and B’s throughout the online learning year. This year was not as much making friends, as we were all stuck at home. Although, being stuck in quarantine i was able to develop love for a lot of different activities and take interest in many different topics that i never would of thought would entertain me. My favorite part of Fresham year was getting into anime, it kept me busy, and gave me something I genuinely enjoyed watching.
Sophomore year was the most memorable for me, this was the year I made all of my friends who I talk to now, I got a lot of classes with people I was really close to in middle school, along with new people that I developed a relationship with. Sophomore year was the more about making memories rather than focusing on education, but i was able to mult task and finished sophomore year with all A’s and B’s. This was also the least stressful year, all the classes i took were relatively easy and i was able to focus on getting my work done. My favorite memory of Sophmore year was AP world history, even though the class was an annoyance that class was filled with so many of my friends i am so close to today. The class also brought all of us so much closer with each other. Sophomore year was also the year i started working at Bashas, where once again I met many friends that i would considered my closet friends today, as we all still work there now.
Junior year is kind of a blur, it zoomed by without me even realizing it, I barley got any classes with my friends who i built a connection with my junior year, so it was kind of a start from scratch moment. It was excititng at first but it got boring real fast it was much different from junior year, but i still had some friends in my classes, this was definitely the year that focused on education hence why i think it went by so fast and i barley remember. I still learned a lot during my junior year but i would most definitely say that it was the least eventful out of all 4 years during my continued education at Verrado Highschool, the crazy amount of fire alarms were fun though!
Finally my senior year the most stressful hardest and long lasting year of my life, i have one piece of advice for you to help you through senior year, do not take AP pre calc. It was the hardest class that I had ever taken and it took up so much time from my other classes just to u derstand one unit. It is defenitly the most rewarding year though, figuring out what you want to do after high school and graduation ater the 4 yers of hard work, receiving your diploma.
I wouldnt have wanted to continue my 4 years of education anywhere else but Verrado highschool, thank you for everything.
