On March 12th and 13th there will be a hydroplane race at Hidden Lake in Buckeye along with a barbecue. Racing starts around 11 am and ends around 4 pm. These boats achieve various speeds from 50mph to 110mph! Every boat is handcrafted and uses Japanese Yamato engines, Mercury engines, or heavily modified engines. These races are split into classes depending on the size and engine of the hydroplane and run through a schedule throughout the day. A BBQ contest will also be held at the same location during the race day and will provide food for viewers. Don’t miss out on an action-packed weekend!
