One of the best nights for many students is coming up right around the corner. Having a fun night out at a dance is in eerie junior and seniors’ books; whether they want to admit it or not they enjoy the thought of prom. Getting ready, finding a pretty tux or dress, finding gorgeous shoes, and getting your hair and nails done for fun.
A prom is coming up for Verrado students on April 19th. A Sunset Soiree is what y’all are gonna be getting ready for. With pretty colors of bright yellow, orange, pink, and blue, let go for the night and have fun.
Even with Prom being so far away there are still things to look forward to, finding a pretty dress that you love and want to take pictures in, takes time to find the one you love.
Even though it’s only for juniors and seniors, this is what every little girl looks forward to.
Prom is not just another school dance; it is an event of a lifetime. Dressing up and getting a date is also a way for seniors to have fun for one last night and be kids until they have to be adults. They can dance their hearts out and celebrate with their friends every moment of high school they spend together.
It never matters if you’re showing up in style or with just your friends or going on a date; it’s still something to enjoy and understand that you made it through high school, or for our juniors, you are almost there.
When talking about this being some students’ last prom, Autumn Badillo, a senior at Verrado, says, “I’ve been at Verrado since freshman year and even before that, Verrado Middle School as well, where to some kids, prom is just a dance, but time it not. I’ve gone to school with the same friends for years, and this is our last one and I’m looking to have one last night of childish fun with them while we all become adults.”
While seniors say goodbye juniors have one more year, Connor Morris a junior at Verrado School stated: “I am just a junior but I am so ready to be done with school, even though I have my friends I still just look forward to the day I get to walk across the stage at graduation, even though I am ready prom was the marker of I survived another year but this time I’m getting older because now I get to go to prom.”
Even though school is almost over, the graduating class and upcoming class get to have one last night of fun and letting go while some look forward to graduating in the next month. While our returning juniors will still be here and getting ready to step into the shows the seniors left behind. Don’t worry too hard about the future, and enjoy dancing and celebrating hard work with your friends.
