Calling all cheerleaders! On May 3, cheerleading tryouts will begin in the auxiliary gym. Freshman and transfer student tryouts occur May 3-6 before the actual tryouts. From April 26-28, there will be three days of clinics, during those clinics, the cheerleaders will learn a fight song, cheers, jumps, stunting, tumbling, and some of Verrado’s signature dance moves. If you’re interested in cheer and have never been on a team, you’re welcome to try your luck!

On April 17 there will be an informational meeting about cheer tryouts and what life is like on the actual team. Parents with questions are welcome in the innovation lounge where they can talk with the head coach and other cheerleaders about their child trying out and possibly joining the team.

Anyone interested in auditioning for the 23-24 mascot position or cheer team is encouraged to join the Verrado Cheer Coaches for an interest meeting on April 13 at 6pm in the Innovation Lounge.
