A Glendale School District Severed ties with Arizona Christian due to a difference in opinion.

Recently a Glendale school board has severed ties with Arizona Christian University due to their religious beliefs. They didn’t agree with Arizona Christian University’s “biblically-integrated academics.” With the need for more teachers in Arizona, this is an interesting move.

Teachers aren’t allowed to exploit their beliefs in students. There is no proof of Arizona Christians’ Alumini forcing their opinion on anyone in the Glendale school district. They’re also specifically targeting teachers who went to Arizona Christan University when tons of Christian colleges have the same values as them too.

The Arizona State Legislature, says,” It is an unlawful employment practice for an employment agency to fail or refuse to refer for employment or otherwise to discriminate against any individual.” Which includes,” an individual’s race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin or based on disability.”Although it could have been Washinton Elementary School District’s intention to show support for the LGBTQ+ community. They discriminated against another community, Christians.

On Thursday, March 16th, Arizona Christian University filed a lawsuit against Washinton Elementary School District for discrimination. There haven’t been any updates so far regarding the lawsuit but Arizona Christian University is in the process of it.

Mrs. Jones the hiring director for the Agua Fria Union High School District says,” This is NOT something that AFUHSD would support or implement.”
