Lots of Events Happening Around VHS

High school is an important period in a student’s life with not only academic growth but also personal development through extracurricular activities. School clubs play a crucial role in developing knowledgeable students by providing opportunities for students to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and make social connections.

While academics are undoubtedly essential extracurricular activities play a pivotal role in a student’s overall development. Joining clubs and organizations is a powerful way for high school students to expand their skills and lasting friendships. This article explains the significance of high school students joining clubs and the numerous benefits they can reap from just participating.

There are over 2,000 students at Verrado High School and many extracurricular activities, clubs, and events. A large number of students like sports like Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Volleyball, Baseball, Football, Golf, Tennis, Etc.

It’s always a nice opportunity to try out these sports and also some extracurricular activities like culture clubs, chess, and studio. Additional participation in clubs or sports enhances student’s resumes and college applications helping student’s overall personal and academic growth.

Verrado High School also has donations year-round to help students and the community. For example, Verrado High School had this Car wash on October 25, 2023. This isn’t just for students but it helped the community to come and support the business club called DECA.

Verrado High School isn’t just about Donations and sports. They provide fun activities for the school and the community. Verrado High School just had a Haunted House at the school letting all the students come in while other students were staff leading the haunted house.

On October 25, 2023, Verrado High School organized a trunk or treat. Students dressed up decorated their car trunks, and gave out candy to everyone if they wanted to. It is a fun time when Verrado organizes these things. They bring families together and you can hang out with your friends.

Verrado High School always makes everything even. That means Verrado High School cares about learning and helping students with their academics. A good thing about Verrado is that they balance school work and fun activities and organizations.

High school can be an intimidating place for all students. Joining a club or organization or some way of getting involved with the school can help the student learn a sense of belonging and also just help the school overall with more students in clubs or organizations or sports.

Not only does this participation and work need to happen in Verrado High School students all over should participate and help the school that they are in to help them grow and learn. This helps the students and it helps the future of students.

High school students who join clubs and organizations are more likely to thrive academically and personally. The benefits are vast from building new skills to enhancing leadership abilities. These extracurricular activities not only enrich the high school experience but also lay a strong foundation for a successful future. Students can get scholarships for the clubs, sports, etc. that they do in High school. A big percentage of kids get scholarships throughout their high school years mostly their junior and senior years. Scouts look at the plays or events around the school to see what students are capable of.

Overall there are many activities, sports, fundraisers, organizations, and more at Verrado High School. But just a thought about joining anything to help Verrado thrive could make a positive impact on the school students you and the future of VHS Vipers to come.
