In a sunny yard where the flowers bloom bright,
Lived two little girls, with laughter and light.
Kylie was big, with a smile so wide,
“Let’s chase all the butterflies!” she said with pride.

We’d build forts from sticks, pretend we were princesses,
Sharing our secrets and crazy dreams.
With giggles and games, we’d run through the trees,
In our magical world, just us and the breeze.

But as Kylie grew up, she got really busy,
I felt kind of lost, and sometimes quite dizzy.
“Don’t leave me behind!” I said with a frown,
“Don’t worry, sweet Kenzi, I’m never far down.”

Though things sometimes change and we’re quite distant,
You’ll always be my sister, right here in my heart.
Through all of life’s twists and the paths that we take,
We’ll always be together, no matter what’s at stake.

So we stand in the light, both happy and free,
Two sisters forever, just her and me!
With love that won’t fade and a bond that won’t break,
In every adventure, we’ll share every mistake.

Kylie Golledge is 15 years old and loves listening to music and going for walks around her neighborhood. What keeps Kylie motivated to get things done is the support from teachers and friends. They make work more fun and help give the energy needed to stay on track and keep learning. Kylie enjoys spending time with friends and always looks forward to new music, too. She believes that a positive attitude and a good support system make everything easier to accomplish. Especially with a smile to lead you through the day! Here’s one of her pieces.
