It’s surely an interesting question given how last season ended and all the changes that have happened since then. The Vipers last season finished with a 3-7 record which wasn’t enough to make the state tournament. Then in late January of this year, Coach Johnson made the decision to resign from the head coaching position.
Additionally, the Athletic Director position became open after the end of last school year and Verrado actively began the search for new coaches and a new Athletic Director. Those gentlemen who filled the roles are Jeremy Hathcock and Barry Cromer, both of who have astounding resumes under their belts.
The Vipers are already hard at work for this upcoming season with Coach Hathcock and are ecstatic for the season to begin. Fans are excited about the potential under the new regime. Hopes are high that this is the year for Verrado’s first state championship in football.
