Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson in 1974, is the world’s most iconic tabletop role-playing game. Set in fantastical worlds of swords, sorcery, and myth, D&D invites players to assume the roles of adventurers and embark on quests filled with danger, treasure, and mystery.
The game is guided by a Dungeon Master (DM), who narrates the world and controls non-player characters (NPCs) and creatures. Players use dice to determine the outcomes of their actions based on character abilities. Known for its imaginative storytelling and collaborative gameplay, D&D has influenced countless video games, movies, and books, creating a vast cultural impact that resonates with new generations of players.
Last year, Mrs. Summers and a group of students formed the Tabletop group at Verrado and it’s been popular ever since. Students meet on Tuesdays after school and are led by the resident Dungeon Master who takes them on an amazing venture.
Each campaign is customized to player roles and students adventure through several hours of creepy caverns or haunted manors slaying the dangerous denizens. The club is always looking for new members so you can find them in E31 every Tuesday.
