Every Thursday during RTI, The Journalism Club invites you to explore the art of reporting and photography in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Our Editor-In-Chief, Olivia Moran, who helps publish the Viper Times articles, emphasizes the benefits of joining the club: “It offers students a chance to engage with journalism without the pressure of maintaining grades. It’s also a great opportunity to gauge community interest and boost readership for the Viper Times.”
The Journalism Club not only fosters writing skills but also enhances the quality of articles across various school clubs. The team provides valuable advice and creative input to make school papers more engaging for readers.
Allison Rospierski, Editor-At-Large, describes the club’s atmosphere: “It’s a peaceful setting that allows members to express their creativity freely.”
Looking ahead, the Journalism Club plans to introduce exciting competitions and fun activities throughout the school year. Additionally, the club will organize fundraisers to support events, school merchandise, and other initiatives.
Ms. Studts, the club’s advisor, shares future plans: “We’re working on hosting industry professionals and organizing special events. We’re also thrilled to participate in the Verrado Homecoming Block Party and the Halloween event this fall.”
For more information, please see Ms. Studts in room E30. Don’t miss this chance to be part of an exciting and creative journey in journalism.
