As the days get longer and the temperatures get higher, festival season finally returns, bringing music, energy, and unforgettable moments for people attending it. Festival lovers may have a few questions as this season approaches; Which festivals are happening soon, which artists are the most common in festival lineups, and which festival is really worth attending?
One of the biggest Festivals known to man is underway, Coachella. Coachella is happening on the weekends of April 10-12 and April 17-19. It is the most famous one and probably also the most expensive one. General Admission started at $549 and VIP Passes started at $1,199. Even though they are already sold out, you can still sign up for the waitlist or buy a resale ticket from a trusted and certificated website – don’t trust third party websites!
It’s in Indio, California and it has multiple stages. The headline for both Fridays is Sabrina Carpenter, known for her famous tracks, like “Espresso” or “Please Please Please”. The headline for both Saturdays is Justin Bieber, who got famous in the early 2010s. The final headline for both Sundays is Karol G, known for her spanish pop music. Other known artists are Katseye, Ethel Cain, Addison Rae, Laufey, and PinkPanthress. The experience is worth it, but the price is not for the weeks.
Another with a great selection of music genre is, Lollapalooza. There is not ONE Lollapalooza, there are multiple ones throughout the world, reaching from South America to Europe to Asia. While the southern America Lollapalooza already happened, the European and American Lollapalooza are soon to happen. The northern American one is on the weekend between July 30 and August 2, featuring artists like Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, TateMcRae, and Olivia Dean. The tickets are starting at a price of $185 for 1-Day admission and starting at $439 for a 4-Day admission.
There are multiple European ones, including Germany. The German one is happening on the weekend of July 18 and July 19 and includes international artists like Zara Larsson, Lorde, Pitbull and Anitta.
For those who are more interested in the rap and hip-hop world, RollingLoud is the place for you. Rolling loud, the king of the HipHop festivals, is gonna be happening between May 8 and 10. It is held in Orlando, Florida in the Camping World Stadium and is going to be really fun. Many rappers are performing, including artists like Don Toliver, Playboy Carti, Esdeekid, and Nettspend. The tickets start at $334 for a 3-Day general admission, making it the cheapest one out of the list. Rolling Loud is known for its insane crowd making it one of the most memorable festivals out of here.
One of the biggest questions when thinking of going to a festival is “Which artists are non-negotiables?” There are multiple clear winners who are at almost every festival right now. Including a Swedish pop star who is trying to bring 2016 back to life… Zara Larsson, the from tiktok rising performer known for her hits like “Fame is a Gun” or “Diet Pepsi” Addison Rae, and the artist who created multiple trends like “Brat” summer and the apple dance, who is known for her crazy hyperpop songs… Charli XCX.
But the real thing to think about is Which festival is really worth attending? This question is purely opinion based and all of them have their advantages and disadvantages. While Coachella is expensive with an insane amount of artists, Lollapalooza is shining with a cheaper price than coachella, but still expensive, and RollingLoud having the cheapest tickets but the most limited width of genres.
Festivals are always fun and these are great for making new connections, finding new favorite artists or seeing your favorite artists. Nonetheless the most important thing at those festivals is to have fun.
