On Dec. 12, 2025, Verrado Student Government hosted a Make-A-Wish assembly to support this year’s wish recipient, Delilah. Delilah is a young girl battling lymphoma, and her wish is to visit Disney World.
During the assembly, a former Verrado Make-A-Wish recipient, Brock Koziatek returned to campus to share his experience visiting Disney World. He spoke about the memories he made during his trip, and his father took a moment to thank Verrado students, staff and families for their continued generosity and support.
The assembly also featured performances by the Powderpuff cheer team, adding energy and excitement to the event. In a lighthearted moment for a meaningful cause, Mr. Barry Cromer and Mr. Sebastian Avila volunteered to have desserts poured on them, all in support of Delilah. StuGo ambassadors, staff members and Brock helped make the moment possible, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Events like the Make-A-Wish assembly highlight the strong sense of community at Verrado. Through generosity and school spirit, students and families come together not only to create memorable experiences, but also to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child in need. Check out the slideshow to see how much fun Brock and Verrado students had with the assembly.
