For weeks, anticipation had been building in the halls of our school. Posters hung on every wall, rehearsals ran into the evening, and excitement grew between students, teachers, and parents.
The Verrado theatre and show choir had their first performance debut on Monday, March 23. They performed the musical “High School Musical” for the Verrado Middle School on Monday. The show is more than just a class project, it was the result of dedication,teamwork, and creativity, bringing the middle school community together for a memorable performance.
The performance itself is filled with a lot of energy and emotions. From the very first scene, the audience felt the deep emotions and were drawn into the High School story. The actors delivered a great performance with realistic emotions and confidence. They were able to create an exciting atmosphere. Each scene shows how much of exhausting work the cast put into their rehearsals and the creation of the musical.
The cast did a great job, they stood out for their talent and dedication. Especially the main cast members: Blake Linkey as Troy Bolton and Mckenzie Mendez as Gabriella Montez impressed the audience with their acting, singing, and stage presence which made it a magical and professional feeling moment on the stage.
The students from Verrado middle school were all excited to see the final performance and based on their applause and volume, they were definitely excited to see it. Throughout the show, they reacted with great enthusiasm. Laughter, applause, and cheers filled the school’s auditorium, showing how much they enjoyed it.
The main performances for everyone were on March 26,27, and 28, each at 7pm in the Verrado High School auditorium.
