Angelina Cabrera, Staff Writer

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Angelina Cabrera is an 18-year-old high school senior.  Growing up, most of her time was spent playing outside or playing volleyball with her sister.  Alongside this, Angelina prides herself in having two amazing families she knows she can always count on.  She believes that without her family she truly wouldn’t be the person she is today.  Throughout the chaos that may ensue in life, she knows she can always depend on her family to remind her of who she is and help her find balance.

In her free time, Angelina enjoys listening to music and spending time with her friends.  From a very young age her father always taught her how important it was to be able to accept and appreciate all kinds of music.  Keeping this advice with her, Angelina consistently pushes herself to discover and genuinely take in music whenever she gets the chance to.  Education, as well, is also something that Angelina takes very seriously.   Throughout her high school years, Angelina has taken AP Lang & Comp and has also been in several  Honors classes to push herself and advance her education.  With a passion for writing and reading, Angelina hopes to learn a lot more about her journalistic side and will hopefully further develop her skills.

Growing up it was hard for Angelina to imagine herself going to college and starting a true “adult life”.  Now, she has aspirations of going to college, getting a degree, and moving out of state to start a life that she can be proud of.  Although she isn’t completely sure about what she would like to study or do after college, she knows that in the end things will work out the way they were intended to and that divine timing will bring things into her life that were meant to be there.   All in all, Angelina is eager to see what life has in store for her and cannot wait to work hard to become the person she was always meant to be.
