Chris Godinez

Chris Godinez, Staff Writer

Within the world of sports, Chris Godinez strives to remain up to date with the latest and greatest narratives floating around in the current-day media. His love for professional sports inspired him to consider going into the industry of Sports Broadcasting, where journalism experience is required for most career opportunities that involve broadcasting. His hope is to one day call himself a broadcaster for one of the bigger sports TV networks in America, such as FS1 (Fox Sports 1), ESPN, or MLB Network.

Within this dream of his, Chris noticed some quality traits about himself that should contribute to not only one day becoming a sports broadcaster but also a better person in general. These traits include the ability to acknowledge mistakes and flaws within himself before those flaws arise to greater heights, an ability to learn from his contemporaries and peers, and a way of elevating others in a work environment or group activity.

Although this Arizona kid wasn’t blessed with top-tier genetics to pursue a career in pro sports, his knack for self-improvement and following his passions quickly counters this and with only 17 years under his belt, you can tell he’s destined for success. In his free time, Chris likes to spend time outside with his dog, go out with his cousins, banter with his friends, and watch sports (Primarily the MLB, NFL, CFB, and then NBA). His favorite teams include the SF Giants, 49ers, Warriors, and the Michigan Wolverines.

He prides himself on his goals and aspirations, constantly adding new things he needs to clean up and constantly improving himself day by day. Whether it pertains to the career he wants to pursue or just in general becoming a better person, he continues to write down smaller goals in order to reach these expectations and to become the person he plans to be.

“You wanna know why you wanna work in this industry? It beats working for a living, we’re stealing money here - Max Kellerman
